Common birds of Chambal Garden

Chambal Garden supports a diverse mix of waterbirds, riverine species, raptors, and common land birds. The river and associated wetland habitats attract Lesser Whistling-Duck, Knob-billed Duck, Cotton Pygmy-Goose, White-breasted Waterhen, Bronze-winged Jacana, Little Cormorant, Black-crowned Night Heron, Indian Pond-Heron, and Purple Heron. The River Tern is a notable highlight, with a group of 16 recorded, while Asian Woolly-necked Storks and Indian Vultures add further interest. Raptors such as Shikra and the Dusky Eagle-Owl complement the bird diversity.
