Hulukudi Betta is a scenic hill landscape on the outskirts of Bengaluru, known for its rocky terrain, scrub vegetation, open grasslands and patches of dry deciduous vegetation. Hulukadi Hillock supports a diverse mix of resident and seasonal birdlife, reflecting the variety of habitats across its rocky hill slopes, scrublands, open areas and surrounding vegetation. The bird community includes several bulbuls such as White-browed, Red-vented, Red-whiskered and the regionally significant Yellow-throated Bulbul, along with Indian White-eye, Common Tailorbird, Ashy Prinia and Jungle Prinia. The rocky terrain also provides suitable habitat for species such as Blue Rock-Thrush and Sirkeer Malkoha.
