Summary of Walk
In Bilaspur, a lively group of 23 — spanning children, youth, and older adults — gathered with Ratnesh Gupta and Rahul Gupta for a morning that felt both gentle and joyful. With extra binoculars passed around, everyone got a chance to see the birds up close, turning the walk into an inclusive experience for all ages. The group recorded more than 30 species including Red Avadavat, Western Marsh Harrier, Northern Pintail, Tufted Duck, Indian Bushlark, and Red-crested Pochard.
The guides enriched each sighting with stories and explanations, helping participants appreciate behaviours, habitats, and seasonal changes. As the morning unfolded, the group found themselves drawn deeper into the rhythm of the wetlands and fields around them. By the time the walk ended, it had become a shared memory — a morning stitched with laughter, learning, and the quiet thrill of discovery.
