About Karanji Lake

Karanji Lake is a prominent urban wetland located at the foothills of the Chamundi Hills in Mysuru, Karnataka. Spread across a scenic landscape surrounded by trees, gardens, and natural vegetation, the lake forms an important habitat for a variety of aquatic and terrestrial wildlife. The wetland is part of the larger Mysuru Zoo landscape and is well known for its tranquil setting, rich vegetation, and diverse birdlife.
