Koradi Lake, near Nagpur, Maharashtra, hosted a walk for 5 participants led by guide Devansh Agrawal. The group recorded a healthy 31 species during the session, with the Asian Paradise Flycatcher, White-throated Kingfisher, and the rare Yellow Bittern standing out as the highlights of the morning.
The sighting of the Paradise Flycatcher, alongside a Fantail Flycatcher, gave the walk a particularly memorable edge, while the Yellow Bittern’s appearance was noted as a genuine rarity for the area. Despite the smaller group size, the walk was highly interactive, with participants engaging closely with the guide throughout. The strong species count and the presence of an uncommon bittern made this an especially satisfying outing for everyone involved, reinforcing Koradi Lake’s value as a birding destination near Nagpur.
