The lake is home to Black-winged Stilts, White-breasted Waterhens, Great Cormorants, Eastern Cattle-Egrets, Grey Herons, and Red-wattled Lapwings, while the surrounding vegetation shelters Greater Coucals, Pied Cuckoos, Indian Rollers, Rose-ringed Parakeets, and Asian Green Bee-eaters.
