DESCRIPTION:Campus Bird Walk at Rajasthan Technical University\, Kota				\n				\n				\n				\n							\n							\n											\n													\n										Kota\n									\n								\n											\n													\n										4 June\, 2026\n									\n								\n											\n													\n										\n									\n						\n						\n				\n					\n				\n		\n					\n		\n				\n				\n					Highlights from the Event				\n				\n				\n				\n									Ataavi’s Campus Bird Walk at Rajasthan Technical University\, Kota\, brought together 16 participants for an exciting morning of birdwatching led by Bhuvnesh Kumar. Exploring the university campus and its wetland-rich surroundings\, participants recorded 28 bird species\, reflecting the remarkable diversity supported by the area’s mix of open grounds\, trees\, and aquatic habitats. The walk featured several notable sightings\, including Black-headed Ibis\, Asian Openbill\, River Tern\, Grey Heron\, and Eurasian Moorhen\, while flocks of Common Redshanks and Common Sandpipers highlighted the importance of the campus wetlands for waterbirds. Participants also enjoyed observing Indian Peafowl\, Shikra\, White-throated Kingfisher\, and both Alexandrine and Rose-ringed Parakeets. 								\n				\n				\n		\n				\n				\n					Partnered with				\n				\n				\n				\n																														\n				\n				\n				\n				\n									The wetland habitats proved especially productive\, with sightings of Great and Little Cormorants\, Lesser Whistling-Ducks\, Indian Pond-Herons\, Little Egrets\, and Red-wattled Lapwings. Away from the water\, species such as Small Minivet\, Rufous Treepie\, Asian Green Bee-eater\, Common Tailorbird\, Ashy Prinia\, and Black Drongo added colour and activity to the morning. Large flocks of House Sparrows\, Eurasian Collared-Doves\, and Jungle Babblers provided excellent opportunities for participants to sharpen their bird identification skills and observe bird behaviour.
